Patrick Young

Patrick Young (b. 1993, Florida currently holds a Bachelors in Music Education, with an additional emphasis on Instrumental Music, from Young Harris College and is pursuing an M.M. degree in Tuba Performance from the University of Georgia. His primary teachers include David McLemore, Staff Sergeant Simon Wildman, and David Zerkel.

While at Young Harris College, Patrick participated in the Young Harris College Wind Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Jazz Band, Piano Ensemble, Brass Quintet, Trombone Ensemble, and the local community band. He has been a featured soloist with the YHC Jazz Band, and the YHC Wind Ensemble. Patrick has been a featured soloist at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany, as part of the YHC European Tour in 2012.

In 2011, Patrick became a founding member of the Enotah Brass Quintet in the North Georgia area. This group has been featured since its beginning at the Georgia Music Educators Conference and at the 2012 GMEA District IX honor band. The group also performs at many private weddings and events on a regular basis, including the July the 4thCelebration in Dahlonega, Georgia, and various church related activities.

Patrick is a member of the International Tuba Euphonium Association and The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
